Day 3

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates, we had other business to attend to on Friday so we haven't continue truss building until today (well, technically yesterday).

Anyways, for the third day of the project, we began an assembly phase of everything.

First, we made sure we had all the necessary items for the bridge, and we found that we actually were lacking a few gussets. Because of this, we made a few more gussets to the project.

After doing so we proceeded to put together the project to make the truss itself. 

First we put the diagram we wanted on a foam board. We covered this in wrap before pinning it down with needles.

Upon assembling it like this, we measured out various pieces of equipment to it and trimmed any piece that was too long. After the trim, we then nailed down the gussets into the board and glued the bars onto it.

From there we repeated the process. We are coming close to finishing the truss. We only need to attach the tubes together for this diagram :)
